Not non-stick for long,
I wish I could say this product held up to its reviews and all its hype. Unfortunately it did not. At first it was non-stick to the max and I loved it, but after about a week of use (everyday I might add), it quickly lost its non-stick ability even though the coating is still completely intact, no metal objects were used, and it was never cleaned with anything but soap and water – after cooling down completely. In short, I wasted over 30 buck and wish I had never purchased it. How it got such great reviews is beyond me. I usually have great luck using reviews when purchasing a product, but unfortunately where this pan is concerned, I got taken. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Buy a ceramic coated, titanium infused pan instead. I wish I had.

|from pleased to disappointed,
Update 10/17: Nonstick seems to have evaporated from the inner part of the pan. Neither vinegar, nor hot water, can get off brown residue from a batch of apple french toast stuck in-between the “textured” indentations. I think I’ve owned the pan now just a little longer than refund. The upper edges are still silky smooth. I’ve only used soft sponges and soft cloths inside. I plan to contact the company and see if they have any suggestions/stand by their product.
First impressions: the inside of the pan felt silky smooth, a promising sign for nonstick cooking. The pan has some heft to it, but it seems lighter than other frying pans of a similar size.
First trial this morning: over easy eggs using an induction burner. Despite using very little buttery spread, the eggs slid easily (almost too easily) at the lightest touch with the spatula. I soon had two batches of eggs with well-done whites and flowing yellow yolks.
A soft sponge was more than enough to slide the dirt off when washing. A spatula was enough to rub off the browned areas of turkey burger grease/juices in between batches of burgers.
I have no way of testing the PTFE/PFOA-free claim; but I did not notice any odor from the packaging, nor from the pan itself (neither when cold nor during the cooking process).
Initially, it ranks among the best nonstick pans I’ve used–perhaps the best. Of course, it remains to be seen how it holds up over time. Although instructions say it could go in the dishwasher, I plan to follow the manufacturer’s recommendation to hand wash (especially since it’s so easy). I will also be careful to avoid putting cold water in it when it’s hot.
The green color, while a clever marketing feature, is not my favorite; but so far I am well pleased with the performance.
UPDATE: After about three weeks, eggs started to stick a bit. I wiped it down with vinegar as someone else had suggested. Next time I made eggs, I used a tad more butter/spread and a slightly higher heat (360° vs. 320°F), and the pan was back to normal performance. We’ll see.
I looked up the “GREBLON” coating which is the one part of the pan (licensed?) “from” Germany. If I understand correctly, “Ceram” means this pan has one layer of textured ceramic coating. GREBLON has a 3-layer professional version. I wonder if there is a difference in long-term performance.

|Nice pan but be aware of dimensions,
I’ve used this pan for a few weeks now and really like it. The color looks fresh and nice if I take the pan directly to the table. It’s also cooked food evenly and is super easy to clean with no scrubbing needed. (I’ve only tried hand washing it). I wish that it were 12″ on both the bottom and top, though, like my last pan was. This pan is 12″ across at the top but 10″ across at the bottom, which allows me to only cook 2 grilled cheese sandwiches instead of 3 at one time. But other than the size issue, I am very happy with the pan.
